Help our unhoused neighbors this winter

Many of us are looking for opportunities to give back this holiday season, and the CAC Task Force on Homelessness is hosting an event next week that is the perfect way to support some of our most vulnerable neighbors.

If you’re putting together grocery and holiday shopping lists for the weekend like I am, consider adding a few of the items above and donating them to our hygiene kit assembly. Donations will be used by the amazing staff at the Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center as they serve clients, and in warming stations and blessings boxes hosted by our local faith community.

Share Your Thoughts: City Council Redistricting Maps

In 2018, Columbus voters elected to add two additional seats to Columbus City Council and create residential districts within which Councilmembers must reside. As part of this process, an independent, citizen-led commission, the Council Residential Districting Commission (CRDC) was formed to create a map with nine districts.

The CRDC will submit three maps to Council and Council will vote and choose one of those maps. These districts will go into effect in the 2023 Council election. I shared an invitation to comment last month, and am sharing again as these are three NEW MAPS for your review.

Thankfully, Clintonville was kept whole in all three iterations under Council’s consideration. Each combines Clintonville with different combinations of neighboring communities.
